Sharon is a great musician, composer, lyricist, singer and woman. She can play violin (that's why she's the most famous), but also piano and guitar which she sometimes performs onstage.

Since a few years she's "fighting" against the lead singer of her band at writing the songs. For her songs, she always makes the lyrics and composes it ! Only 2 songs were done with someone else, her brother Jim, the other songs she wrote were all done by her, not like the other member who need the other (especially Sharon who composes the irish sounds)to complete the songs.

In 1999 we have been able to hear her as lead singer with sister Caroline. But during the Borrowed Heaven Tour, she was alone on stage with her brother Jim on piano and Kieran who plays accordion on the song "No Frontiers". And she was very great, this song was full of emotion when she sung it alone, even more than when she sings it with her sister! At every concert all the crowd felt one of the most emotive time at this song.

But Sharon is also know for her caritative acts with the band and on her own. Now she's working hard to help african people, to build some homes for them. She collects money for them while her husband Gavin Bonnar is in South Africa building home with other irish people. She donates much money and time of her life to help people who aren't well-off, who are sick (especially AIDS), with her husband they donated 20000€ for children.
