Flute and tin whistle player. Born (late 1960s ?) to Irish parents in Manchester, United Kingdom. Widely seen as one of the greatest living players of Irish music on the flute.

He performs across the British Isles to perform, and has competed in the Fleadhanna with his friend, Dezi Donnelly (fiddle) and John-Jo Kelly (bodhran). He has recorded several albums and also guested on many as well. His repertoire also contains tunes which he plays on the uilleann pipes and he is widely considered one of the best whistles/flute players in the UK. He makes appearances at various local and national festivals and has previously run whistle/flute workshops at Cambridge Folk Festival.

He won the BBC Young Tradition award in 1994 and has recorded a small number of albums. "Morning Rory" showcases his traditional skills while "Fused" explores a number of other musical genres. His album "At First Light" with John McSherry goes back to his traditional roots.
