Irish Republican Socialist Party is a leftwing, Reform-Marxist, Nationalist party founded by the great working class Irish hero James Connolly. Connolly was murdered after the Rebellion of 1916 and the party was refounded by Seamus Costello in 1974. Costello left the IRA along with other Irish Republicans disatisfied with the groups tactics and policies. He was later murdered by the Official IRA, however the IRSP still goes strong today, they are heavily associated with the INLA (Irish National Liberation Army). Which fought alongside the anti-communist, Provisional IRA against the British, but now along with the PIRA supports the peace process and is a signatory to the Good Friday Agreement between Irish Nationalists (Republicans) and Ulster Loyalists (Unionists). The INLA is currently on a ceasefire.
