Things to do

  1. Generate a list of 100-200 articles to be included (to be culled from category:World War II).
    The list is at articles.
  2. Arrange that list thematically or chronologically
Discussion at Ireland Information Guide talk:World War II wikireader/arrangement
  3. Copyedit:
    1. Basic proofreading - all typos must be fixed, bad grammar fixed, etc.
    2. Factual inaccuracies need to be squashed
    3. All battles must have taxoboxes. All taxoboxes must be complete.
  4. Copy and paste all the articles into one large article (A developer may be able to do this automatically)
  5. Final cleanup.
    1. Remove Wiki-links (this may not be necessary)
    2. Remove Categories
    3. Remove disambiguation headers
    4. Remove external links
    5. Remove GFDL-incompatible images
    6. See-also's must be limited only to articles in the Wiki-reader.
    7. Names should be clarified, if not already clear.
  6. Export to PDF
    1. Design a cover
  7. Print and sell

Proposed Timeline

I'm tentatively shooting to have this done by September 1. This is probably wildly optomistic, but I'm going to try to do it nonetheless. I definitely want it done by October 1. →Raul654 23:40, Aug 3, 2004 (UTC)

December 7 is more optimistic. Danny 23:41, 3 Aug 2004 (UTC)
