The Television Stations Wikiproject was created to guide the structure of articles related to individual local television stations.
Anyone wishing to take part in this Wikiproject is welcome. Nothing is definite, as it's possible that I've forgotten to include other things of importance in the table or structure, plus there are always special cases, so feel free to add something I've missed.

Click edit to the right to view the source of this table to copy to other television station pages! The first chart is an example for Canadian television affiliates, while the second is for American television affiliates. Minor tweaking was needed for the number of networks in America.
For examples of how to format a table when a channel has changed network affiliations, see WPMI or WTLV.
Quickly, a small rundown of what's what in the table:
- The top grey bar should include the call letters of the station and its network affilliation in brackets.
- If the station is not owned by the network, be sure to indicate that it is an affiliate, for example: (CBC affiliate)
- If the station is independent, mark it as such.
- Slogan: The station's slogan. If the station has no slogan, include the network's slogan instead. If the station is independent and has no slogan, delete that part of the table.
- Station Location: The city and province or state where the station is located.
- Channel/Cable Numbers: Indicate on what channel the station broadcasts as well as the cable channel number.
- Owner: The owner of the station.
- Founded: The year in which the station was founded.
- Joined (Network): The year in which the station joined its network. Do this for the current network only. If the station is independent but was disaffiliated from another network, indicate that date (and of course, change the title box accordingly to "Disaffiliated from (Network):")
- Signal Radius: How far does the station's signal reach?
- Callsign Meaning: Do the call letters stand for anything? If so, use the following markup: (I'll use CKVR as an example; view the source to see the markup)

- Former Affiliations: Indicate any former affiliations with networks here.
- Former Callsigns: Indicate any former callsigns here. You might want to make them redirects to the current callsign unless they're in use by another station.
- Finally, at the bottom, indicate the nearest Network, System or twinstick station to the west and east of the current station.
Structure
A television station article should include:
- a good introduction
- history of the station
- what kind of programming the station airs
- are there any original shows that the station shows?
- original shows that the station formerly broadcasted
- interesting facts about the station
- information on its personalities, past and present
- a link to the station's website
