First, an important note for everyone to remember:
A few Ireland Information Guide users have gotten together to make some suggestions about how we might organize data in articles about architecture. These are only suggestions, things to give you focus and to get you going, and you shouldn't feel obligated in the least to follow them. But if you don't know what to write or where to begin, following the below guidelines may be helpful. Mainly, we just want you to write articles!

WikiProject Architecture
This WikiProject aims primarily to work toward conventions for architecture articles, including naming them and dating.
The parent of this WikiProject is the WikiProject Arts.
No descendant WikiProjects have been defined.
No similar WikiProjects have been defined.
To start things off, I think we need articles on:
list of buildings (which needs many additions). List of building types (also could use additions)
Naming conventions:
What do we do about buildings that have ambiguous names, or are known by multiple names? The Auditorium Building in Chicago had a really ambiguous name, so I wrote it at Auditorium Building, Chicago. It could also conceivably have been at Auditorium Building (Chicago), or just at Auditorium Building. In contrast, the building now known as the Trump Building in New York City currently has its article at 40 Wall Street. Isomorphic 03:01, 14 Apr 2004 (UTC)
Dating: Date of completion, date building starts, date of competition?
list of architects
Main issues are with listing projects, in particular unbuilt projects, and other works (e.g. books).
There are also some important architects whose biographies are currently rather short and don't say much about what they added to architecture. Walter Gropius and Louis Sullivan are examples.
