Inagh (Irish: Eidhneach) is located in County Clare, Ireland, about 9 miles ( 15 km ) west of Ennis on the N85 route to Ennistymon. Inagh consists of seven townlands lying north-east of Mount Callan. In ancient times its Gaelic name meant "the fetid or foul district of Cinel Fearmaic and Cormaic". It derives its more modern name from the Gaelic teampul dubhg na hEidhbighe, meaning "the black church of the ivy".
