INEX - Internet Neutral EXchange is an internet exchange IXP located in the Republic of Ireland, the exchange is located at Clondalkin, Dublin. INEX was created 1997 with the help of HEAnet and allows the interchange of internet data between Irish based ISP's, rather than using an external exchange. Members peer using BGP4, they include Eircom, Esat BT, HEAnet and NTL; Other examples of Internet Exchange Points include pr LINX in London and AMS-IX in Amsterdam. A few of the members have started peering using IPv6 although the vast majority of traffic is still IPv4.
