There are three species of wading birds in the plover family called Golden Plover. They are

  • FAMILY CHARADRIIDAE
    • Subfamily Vanellinae: lapwings, 24 species
    • Subfamily Charadriinae: plovers
      • Eurasian Golden Plover, Pluvialis apricaria
      • Pacific Golden Plover, Pluvialis fulva
      • American Golden Plover, Pluvialis dominica
