Furness is a peninsula and its hinterland, in south-west Cumbria, England. The peninsula juts out into the Irish Sea.

The area was historically a detached part of Lancashire bordering Cumberland to the north-west and Westmorland to the north-east; but was given to the new county of Cumbria in 1974.
