Derry Airport is seven miles from the city of Derry, Northern Ireland. The airport has its origins in World War II, and is near Lough Foyle. The airport developed rapidly since the 1970s. Direct services are to Birmingham, Dublin, Glasgow, Manchester and Stansted. Scheduled flights are operated by Aer Arann, British Airways, Ryanair in addition to charters and private.
