Dublin (Irish language Áth Cliath) is the county that contains the city of Dublin, the capital and largest city of the Republic of Ireland.

County Dublin is located on the East coast of Ireland in the province of Leinster. It is the third smallest county in Ireland with a land area of 921 sq km (356 square miles). The census of 20021 recorded a total population of 1,122,821. It borders County Meath to the north-west, County Kildare to the south-west, and County Wicklow to the south.
