Coddle is a dish traditionally associated with Dublin, Ireland. It consists of a simple thin pork sausage and rasher (bacon) stew with potatoes and onions. The only flavouring is usually salt, pepper and parsley.

To coddle an infant or young child means to treat them indulgently, or to pamper them.
