Boyzone is the famous Irish boy band (pop group) of 1990s with members:

  • Keith Peter Thomas Francis John Duffy (Oct 1 1974)
  • Mikey Christopher Charles Graham (Aug 15 1972)
  • Ronan Keating (Mar 3 1977)
  • Shane Eamonn Mark Stephen Lynch (Jul 3 1976)
  • Stephen Patrick David Gately (Mar 17 1976)

They formed on November 18, 1993 with their first appearance on the Late Late Show on Irish Television, where their "dance routine" has been aired repeatedly as an embarassing TV clip. Their managers were Louis Walsh and Mark Plunkett and they went on to sell more records than Take That. The vast majority of their hits were cover versions of older hits, and as a result have never appealed to the music critics or serious music fans.
