Baltimore PLC is an internet security firm founded in the late 90's by Fran Rooney. It soared in value during the internet boom and became a FTSE 250 firm with a value in excess of a billion pounds sterling. However, lacking profits and the stockmarket crash of March 2000, its value plummeted to less than its net cash figure of about £30m. It is currently selling off non core assets to focus on its other businesses.
