Town in north County Dublin, Ireland, subject of the brutality of the Black and Tans in the 1920 known as the 'Sack of Balbriggan' and location of the 19th century Smith's Stocking Mill, which made stockings for Queen Victoria and men's 'Long-Johns' called Balbrigganers which are referenced in several John Wayne films.

The town is also home of the international headquarters of plastic pipe making company Wavin (http://www.wavin.ie).
